My clients come to me with a wide range of issues—foot pain, back pain, anxiety, epilepsy, digestive problems, cancer, and other chronic illnesses. On the surface, these symptoms may seem purely physical. And interestingly, many of these individuals wouldn’t describe themselves as “traumatized” in the traditional sense.
But that raises an important question:
What exactly is trauma—and what does it have to do with being sick or living in pain?
Let’s start with a simple fact. Our bodies run on electricity. The brain and body need to stay connected through electrical signals. These signals are what keep us alive. In fact, without this electrical communication, life simply stops. That’s exactly what happens in brain death: the signals cease, and the body can no longer function.
Now, trauma-whether it’s physical, emotional, or caused by illness-overloads this electrical system. It’s like blowing a fuse to the outlets or light switches in your house. The connection between the brain and body gets disrupted, and that’s when health problems begin.
Why So Many Struggle—and How NIS Offers a Different Path to Healing
So many of the clients who come to me share similar struggles: chronic anxiety, brain fog, PTSD, complex PTSD, persistent aches and pains, or a general sense that they’re always unwell and can’t fully heal—no matter what they try. These issues are more common than most people realize, and they’re often deeply interconnected.
At first glance, this may seem like a wide-ranging list of unrelated symptoms. But from a NeuroIntegration perspective, they point to one core issue: disrupted communication within the nervous system.
That’s where the Neurological Integration System (NIS) comes in—and what makes it so different from conventional approaches.
Think of the body like a house with electrical issues. Some rooms have no power, some lights flicker, and others work perfectly. As an electrician would systematically test circuits and re-establish connections, I use NIS protocols to identify and restore the body’s internal signaling.
Through gentle touch, targeted muscle testing (as studied by D.A. Monti et al., 1999), and tapping on specific areas of the brain, we help the brain and body “rewire”—reconnecting areas that have lost clear communication. This allows the body to return to its natural state of balance and repair, often leading to significant improvements in physical, mental, and emotional health.
If you feel like your system is stuck in a loop, always trying to heal but never quite getting there, NIS offers a different approach—one that listens to your body’s own intelligence and helps restore what’s been disrupted.
